$8,000 Raised for Blessings in a Backpack

SFL Companies Raised $8,000 for Blessings in a Backpack Avondale.

Auburn Hills, Michigan – February 25, 2019 – SFL Companies held it’s first Trivia Night Fundraiser and raised $8,000 for Blessings in a Backpack Avondale, a foundation that addresses child hunger in the Avondale School District, by providing food to students in need.

The Trivia Night Fundraiser took place on Thursday, February 7^th, 2019 at Avery’s Tavern in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The successful event attracted over 150 members of the community  to attend. All proceeds from the event were donated to Blessings in a Backpack Avondale. The event raised money from ticket sales, raffle donations, sponsorships, and other contributions from local businesses and partners.

The event sponsors were Avery’s Tavern, Fuse Technology Group, Mutual of America, Sinclair Wealth Management Group of Raymond James, Turvo, Unified Technologies, and Basso.

About Blessings in a Backpack:

Blessings in a Backpack addresses child hunger in the Avondale School District, which is composed of Bloomfield Township, Troy, Auburn Hills, and Rochester Hills. Each week, the organization packs three hundred and twenty backpacks for children on the free and reduce lunch program. The children pick up the bags of food in preparation for the weekend. More than half of the funds for the program are raised through fundraising events.
