Giving Back

At SFL, we believe in giving back to our community, and we have been fortunate enough to do so since our company’s beginnings. Since 2012, SFL has been volunteering with local community outreach programs, and has partnered with multiple foundations.

SFL has been working with Blessings in a Backpack since 2013. The Blessings in a Backpack Avondale program keeps students from going hungry on the weekend and helps meet the nutritional needs of children and families. SFL helps raise money for Blessings in a Backpack and volunteers to help fill backpacks with enough non-perishable food for the weekend to students in need. In 2021, SFL held a food truck fundraiser with all proceeds going to Blessings in a Backpack.
SFL previously hosted an annual Charity Golf Outing in support of Redwood, which gives individuals with multiple disabilities the opportunity to achieve independence and reach their highest potential.
For the past two years, SFL has been a corporate sponsor for Chad Tough. Chad Tough battles DIPG; a brain tumor that effects 200-400 children a year.
In 2012, SFL started the Coats for Kids Drive, which provides coats to children in need. Every year, SFL donates hundreds of brand new coats to local children’s clothing drives during the holiday season.
During the 2020 and 2021 years, SFL played a vital role in the continuation of essential goods being transported and distributed across the United States throughout the pandemic and nationwide lockdown, as well as covering transportation costs for a Feeding America shipment.
